Sister Baguley taught how to make a simple chicken recipe:
Mmm! Look at it sizzle!
To make the chicken, use boneless skinless chicken breasts (get them on sale and freeze them until you need them, or buy a whole chicken and cut it yourself to save money).
Use a meat tenderizer and pound those suckers to a pulp. Okay, not quite to a pulp. Get them nice and tender, though. They should be pretty flat when you're done.
Marinate the breasts in milk for a couple of hours or overnight. In the fridge, of course.
Make a mixture of commercial breadcrumb style coating (like shake 'n bake- Olivia likes to use the kind with Italian seasoning already mixed in) and grated parmesan cheese. The amounts of each depend on your preference. Coat the marinated chicken in the cheesy crumb mixture.
Melt a half a stick of butter (or so) in a frying pan on medium heat. Fry the chicken for a couple of minutes on each side, until cooked through. Voila! Delicious, easy chicken that kids and adults alike will love!
Eager to get their eatin' on!
Olivia also showed us how to make broth from the leftover chicken parts and other ingredients. She even made a roast for us using it.
Serve yourself up some yummy parmesan chicken and roast, with gravy and a side of salad, and you have one tasty meal! Don't forget to wash it down with some lemonade. ;)
A group of well-fed ladies!
Now, I know Olivia (and others) gave some great cooking tips that I have forgotten about, so PLEASE, leave a comment if I left anything out! I was relying on the videos that I took, but unfortunately my new camera was a dud, so I lost all of them. So forgive me if I missed something crucial, and please help me fill in the gaps. :)
